Techcast transmitted a varied and interesting forum of talks from top-class experts and open source notables during all five days of the conference.

From February 23 through 24 Techcast transmitted all plenary sessions along with the Solar Thermal Technology Panel of the First Annual Conference of the European Technology Platform on Renewable Heating and Cooling, on contract to the European Solar Thermal Industry Federation (ESTIF). The Linux Foundation called the first LinuxCon in Portland, OR, September 21-23. Prominent among the speakers were Linux founder Linus Torvalds and the Mark Shuttleworth, developer of the popular Ubuntu Linux.

The Apache Software Foundation (ASF) called the ApacheCon conference in Oakland November 2-6. The foundation behind the free webserver is also celebrating its tenth birthday. Techcast is telecasting the three-day conference for free on the Internet for Linux Pro Magazine.
