LinuxCon 2009, Portland, Oregon
The Linux Foundation called the first LinuxCon in Portland, OR, September 21-23. Prominent among the speakers were Linux founder Linus Torvalds and the Mark Shuttleworth, developer of the popular Ubuntu Linux.
So that as many as possible can participate at LinuxCon, Techcast transmitted the big event on contract from the Linux Foundation and the Linux Magazine per live stream on the Internet. The foundation came up with an attractive program for the conference, for 84 euro. The keynotes for all conference days were streamed live, as was the talk by Linus Torvalds on September 21 at 23:00. The complete archive of the live streams with the registration link are on the streaming page of Linux Pro Magazine.
