All in one: congress media center and training platform
About the DGVS and the DGVS online academy
The German Society for Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS) is a scientific association for the research of digestive organs. It unites more than 6,000 members. The DGVS promotes scientific projects and studies and supports young scientists. In addition, the DGVS organizes congresses and advanced training courses.
An ever more important component of the DGVS congresses and advanced training is the continuing education over digital media. With the DGVS Online Academy the Society pursues a sustainable strategy with a modular approach.
Goals of the DGVS online academy
- Possibility to follow up events of the DGVS
- Recycling of valuable content from live events
- Continuing education of physicians and scientists
- Blended learning concept for existing face-to-face trainings
- Training offers for members independent of time and place
- Expansion of the DGVS's digital presence and offering
- Congress and training media centre with DGVS look and feel
Techcast has designed a platform with the look and feel of the DGVS. Selected scientific sessions as well as individual satellite symposia can be accessed free of charge by medical experts after a short registration. Thanks to its responsive design, the service can also be used on the move. With this platform, valuable contents of the DGVS annual conferences can be structured and recycled. It can be filtered according to topics and speakers.
The DGVS uses the full service of Techcast: The contents of the congress media center have been recorded annually by Techcast at the DGVS annual conference since 2016.
The DGVS Online academy also includes an e-learning area with certificate seminars. Presence events are supplemented with PDFs, learning success controls, evaluation of participants and awarding of a certificate. The e-learning area is modular and can be extended at any time by other formats, such as webinars or the awarding of CME points.
"With Techcast we have found a reliable partner who supports us competently and creatively in the digitalisation of our training offers."
Diana Kühne, managing director DGVS
